Beestekraal is a farming community in the Bojanala District, the most scenic region of the province.
The Bojanala-Eastern Region is situated close to Gauteng. If you like adventure, this is your kind of region. Water activities, mountain sports, hang-gliding, parasailing, abseiling, hiking trails, angling, yachting, ballooning, cable way and leisure.
Attractions in and around Beestekraal include:
– Angling is a very popular sport at the Vaalkop Dam. Boats are permitted on one half of the dam including the central island. While the other half has been set aside for watersports.
Similarly, 800 ha of the reserve is set aside as a bird sanctuary, which can only be accessed by arrangement with the management.
– There are several private game lodges situated in the south of the Vaaldam Nature Reserve.
