Rosetta is known for the case of Elizabeth Klarer. She claimed to have been abducted by aliens on a hill outside the town in 1955.
The small town is located in the beautiful Kamberg Valley on the Natal Midlands Meander. It is the heart of Natal’s fly fishing, on the Springrove Dam. The Kamberg, Highmoor and Giants Castle nature Reserves are close by.
The Kamberg Nature Reserve offers a great hike to some of the best bushman paintings. They have guided walks two or three times per day and a small restaurant with scones, muffins and toasted sandwiches. It’s a good day’s outing for longer stay visitors looking for a day trip.
