Howick is the gateway to the Midlands Meander, Midmar Dam for fishing and watersports, and the Umgeni Nature Reserve.
Great sporting events in the area range from the Highland Games to Midmar Mile. Numerous cycling events start from Howick. Canopy Tours close by, plenty of restaurants and golf courses.
