Hilton is a small town that lies on the brow of the escarpment above Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
In 1872 the Reverend William Orde Newnham opened Hilton College on a large estate 7.8km north of the town. The college is now one of South Africa’s leading private schools.
Hilton is the gateway to the Midlands. The Midlands Meander is famed for it’s wonderful arts and crafts, excellent restaurants, and it’s wide range of sporting pursuits and historical points of interest.
It is close to Midmar Dam and the Howick Waterfalls, and an hour away from Durban and the East Coast. Only an hour away from the Drakensberg Mountain Range and a bit further from Sani Pass.
