Storms River/ Tsitsikamma
The peaceful village of Storms River lays in the heart of the Tsitsikamma. It forms part of the Garden Route. The region is bordered at the north by the Tsitsikamma Mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean. The village is surrounded by natural occurring indigenous forest, Fynbos and commercial plantations.
The surrounding area offers a variety of activities. From peaceful walks in the unspoilt Tsitsikamma forests to unusual activities such as the Treetop Canopy Tour, the world’s highest bungee jump off Bloukrans Bridge or a visit to The Fernery at Forest Ferns.
The Tsitsikamma National Park is a must-see, where you can enjoy the walk along the boardwalk to the suspension bridge across the Storms River Mouth. Or take on the challenge of the 6km Waterfall Walk – along the start of the world famous Otter Trail.
For birding enthusiasts, the Narina Trogan, Knysna Turaco (Loerie) and Victorin’s Warbler are all seen in close proximity to the village.
