In the heart of the magnificent Magaliesberg mountain range lies Mamagalie Mountain Lodge. On arrival, relax and unwind with a refreshing drink, then take time to enjoy the majestic views over the Buffelspoort Valley and dam while you cool off in the swimming pool. Spend the evenings in peaceful elegance, cuddled up to a cosy log fire, or sit around the fire pit and after cooking your meal, enjoy the star studded skies and listen to the nocturnal inhabitants commence their vigil.

Welcome the new day with a stroll through the secluded kloof, and listen to the exquisite sounds of the wakening bush. We have 1000 acres of private and pristine bush and mountain veldt for you to explore at your leisure. An energetic walk to the top of the mountain will give you views you only dream of, and if it is warm enough, take a dip in the pure, sparkling rock pools. The bush is a nature lover's paradise, with numerous species of flora and fauna. We are able to offer you the several additional excursions. Please try and give us 12 hours notice should you wish to take one of them. A minimum of two persons is preferred.

You are certain to enjoy absolute privacy as Mamagalie Mountain Lodge is only let to one party at a time. Sleeping from two to twelve people in stylish luxury, our accommodation has been described as "world class". We allow our guests to take time away from the daily grind, as our friendly staff services the lodge.
This self-catering luxury unit has a fully equipped kitchen, furnished to the highest standards with a large stove, fridge/freezer, and convection microwave. The only things you will need during your stay are food and beverage. We believe our four star grading is well deserved, but don't let us try and convince you, come and visit us and find out for yourself.

For a unique and private experience try our Bush Lodge. This Colonial themed four sleeper unit is set in a secluded kloof and offers the ultimate in privacy levels. Set on 3 levels and raised into the tree canopy this unit has been built with luxury with the environment. The bird life in this thickly wooded area is a wonder to behold, and many close up encounters with our feathered friends will be had. The unit is not serviced in order that the privacy is maximized but we can arrange for our staff to assist should you feel like total relaxation, prior notice for servicing is essential.

The large kitchen/dining room is equipped with a four plate gas stove and oven as well as a large fridge/freezer. All the cutlery and crockery provided is of a very high standard and all you should need to bring for your stay us food and beverages. There is sundeck linked to the kitchen where you can sit and relax or enjoy a meal.
The bathroom has been designed in such a way to maximize the stunning views this unit provides. There is a large two person shower with windows looking out over the valley or lie in the Victorian Bath and enjoy the same vista. The separate toilet is similarly designed.

The main room has a double bed while the second bedroom has 2 single beds. Both rooms have large sliding doors looking out over the Buffelspoort Valley and dam, so you are able to enjoy the comfort of your bed in the early mornings while the sun rises over the spectacular scenery. The sleeping area has a gas heater for the cooler nights and extra blankets and hot water bottles are provided during winter.

The braai area incorporates a small plunge pool which makes the summer days a pleasure in this peaceful part of the farm. A small quantity of wood is normally provided but more can be supplied in required. There are also hammocks which can be set up to supervise your partners while they do the cooking.

Our rates vary according to the number of people in the party, and the length of stay, please use the rates given below as a guideline only. As the lodge is booked to one group at a time you will be assured of absolute privacy at all times.

2 Couples----------- R 250.00 per person per night
3 Couples----------- R 225.00 per person per night
Under 12 years---- R 150.00 per night
12 - 18 years ------  R 200.00 per night

One night stays will incur a 30% surcharge over normal rates. Midweek stays are subject to 25% discount on normal rates.
