Thandimvelo Farm is situated on a 162 hectare farm in the Kwena Basin, 30km from Lydenburg. The farmhouse and cottage overlook the Kwena Dam and have the most spectacular views of the Steenkamps Mountains. One can only appreciate the true beauty of Thandimvelo when seen through one’s own eyes. Whether your interests include birdwatching, hiking, mountain-biking, quad-biking or just laying back and relaxing, you are surrounded by the beauty of nature and the magnificent views.

Thandimvelo is a two and a half hour drive from Pretoria and 3 hour drive from Johannesburg. Dullstroom, Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window and the Blyde River Canyon, Nelspruit, Sabie and Graskop are only a short drive away. 

Thandimvelo Farmhouse, set in a beautifully manicured garden, has been revamped and modernized and has plenty of character. Charming bedrooms, large tastefully furnished living areas, bar and a covered verandah with a built-in braai provide ample entertainment areas and are serviced by a modern fully equipped kitchen with a separate washing up area. A fire place in the lounge and a “Welcome Dover” coal stove in the diningroom make for a cozy atmosphere during the cold winter months.

Thandimvelo’s self-catering farmhouse has 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed with a stylish ensuite bathroom, the second bedroom has a queen-size bed and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share an elegant bathroom.

Satellite Television and DVD Machine are supplied in the lounge. A study room incorporating a bar opens out onto the verandah and braai area. The farmhouse’s huge secure garden provides a wonderful play area for children. All linen, bath and hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and toilet tissues are provided. Daily cleaning services can be arranged on request at an extra charge. We can accept cash and internet transfers.
