Ukwazi is not a ordinary lodge, it’s a unique African experience! Ukwazi Safari Lodge is situated only 4 km from the Kruger National Park and 2 km from Phalaborwa airport making this the ideal stop over en-route to Northern Kruger and Mozambique. Your hosts are ex Kruger Park Trails Ranger and well known Environmentalist, Johann Jurgens and his wife Welma.
Accommodation is offered in seven luxury rooms/cottages uniquely nestled among giant Marula trees overlooking our tropical garden. (Sleeping 21 in total). Guest at Ukwazi enjoys their meals in our African style dining room. Our air-conditioned lounge overlooks the pool area, so guest can relax hear while keeping a watchful eye over the kids.
All rooms have: En-suite bathrooms, kitchenettes, air conditioning, roof fan, linen & towels, coffee & tea facilities, bar fridge.
The lodge offers airport shuttle, 2 swimming pools, a restaurant,lounge with DSTV, internet facilities
Activities on offer: Full Day Safaris: 12 Hour Open vehicle game drive including coffee stop, breakfast and lunch. Half Day Safari: 6 Hour Open vehicle game drive including coffee stop and breakfast. Morning Drive: 3-4 Hour Open vehicle game drive including coffee stop. Afternoon Drive: 3-4 Hour Open vehicle game drive including sundowners. Bush Breakfast: 3-4 Hours Open vehicle game drive including Breakfast. Adventure Drive: 3-4 Hour open vehicle game drive. Bushbraai & Bush sleep-out experience: 1 Night including en-route game drive, dinner and morning coffee. Other safari options: Fever Tree Safari (6 Days), Big Game Safari (4 Days) , Wildside Safari (3 Days). Ukwazi Safaris also offers visits to the Tropic of Capricorn (1 Day), the Gold Fields Elephant Museum (6 Hours) and the Amarula Lapa (2 Hours).
