Trackers Mountain Chalets - come and experience South Africa! Situated against the mountains of the Klein Drakensberg, on the North-Eastern Escarpment, our delightful self-catering chalets face out towards the Kruger National Park, and the last valley of the Blyde Canyon. Our game farm is unique in that it contains mountains and a major river. Highveld at the top of the mountains, down through the sheer escarpment with streams and forest, to the Blyde River in the lowveld. A variation in altitude of 1200 metres..... fynbos at the top and baobabs at the bottom.
Animal life is just as varied. A geologist's nightmare.... a geographer's delight! WE AIM... to foster a love and understanding of nature through exciting enjoyment of wild areas. WE WELCOME... birding and botanical groups, students, and anyone who appreciates the environment. WE PROVIDE... comfortable accommodation and delicious meals. (Please note that we do not supply any alcoholic beverages, but you are very welcome to bring your own!)
From your chalet, majestic views of the towering escarpment and distant bush country await you. Watch the sun rise over your breakfast on the homestead porch or enjoy your candle lit dinner under the African sky, as you gaze out over the vast expanse of the African lowveld.
Mountain View: This chalet is semi detached. There are five beds per side including a double bed shower/toilet and kitchen en suite.
Canyon View: This chalet has two single beds and shower/toilet and kitchen en suite.
Valley View: This chalet has one double bed and two bunk beds and shower/toilet and kitchen en suite.
Back packer accommodation: This accommodation has nine rooms, each with two - four single beds(One room has four bunk beds. The bed arrangement can be changed to suit the occupants). Four of the rooms have shower/toilet en suite and five have access to toilet/shower and bathroom.
Activities on the farm: Mountain walk,walk along the banks of the Blyde River, and swim at your own risk. Guided bird/botanical/ecological walks from 2 to 5 hours (by prior arrangement) We have recorded over 300 bird species( almost 50 raptors).....many mammals including leopard, jackal, carracal, zebra, wildebeeste, waterbuck, kudu and most smaller species.... varied reptiles including python, black mamba, etc., and over 1100 plant species.

Dinner Bed and Breakfast: R330 per person per night sharing
