Silonque Sisters Farm - an interaction with Nature and Culture.



Situated North of Phalaborwa, adjacent to the world famous Kruger National Park, the farm Silonque Sisters was a founder member of the Silonque Nature Conservancy. A wide variety of wild life exists naturally in close contact and at peace with a permanent human presence. Bed in the Bush offers Self-Catering accommodation in natural surroundings.



The Bush Camp- "It's a uniquely designed, African village style building in the middle of a glorious bush (Silonque Nature Conservancy). The Bush Camp is where traditional and modern elements have been beautifully combined in a house that feels like a 21st century African hut. Traditional blankets meet air-conditioned rooms; dung floors meet modern, silver-topped kitchens. Its been described as African Zen, which basically means its familiar yet other worldly and really hits the calm and quiet spots." BRIDGET HILTON BARBER



The bush camp is a more basic facility in similar style as the Main House, more compact with emphasis on privacy and the quiet of a spot in the bush. The rooms are compact but air-conditioned. The kitchen is fitted out with air-conditioning, fridge/freezer, stove, pots pans and cutlery for up to 10 people. The Bush Camp sleeps 6 people - two each in three air-conditioned rooms (not en-suite). The large under cover outdoor living area also includes outdoor sleeping for 4 persons(for the more adventurous)on one double bed platform and two single mattresses on bench(under mosquito nets – bring own sleeping bags).



Waterbuck, bushbuck, impala and warthogs are your neighbours, over 200 different bird species are spotted on the Farm. Bed in the Bush is a Birder Friendly Establishment. Joseph, the manager, is also a qualified bird/bush guide who loves to show you the unique Silongue bushveld.



R175 per person – minimum charge R500 per day sleeps maximum of 10 people. Only one booking at a time.
