Game Drives at Kwantu are an experience bar none. Guests are treated to the Big Five, as well as over 250 bird species, abundant Insect and Plant-life, as well as exotic and endangered animals.
Kwantu is situated in what legend refers to as 'the cradle of mankind'. In the heart of Frontier Country, the reserve boasts 6000-hectares of an animal-friendly mix of grasslands, fynbos, valley bushveld and sub-tropical vegetation. It is sprinkled with naturally-formed pockets of water, attractive rock formations which have yielded material for some splendid features of the buildings, and splendid flora, including euphorbia, an intriguing lichen known as 'Old Man's Beard' which thrives in the pure air of the region, and the famous aloe.
